So, finally, here's my reference for Kam.

This is Lil's daemon. They're always together (read: always), and being apart makes both of them very anxious. In Lilith's world, a daemon is the physical manifestation of the persons soul; everyone has one. They share all the same thoughts (though they can hide thoughts or memories from each other if they choose...which they usually don't), and can speak to each other either verbally, or privately in their own heads.

Lilith was born under the water element, and Kam reflects that. His paws are webbed, and he uses his strong tail for swimming and steering in the water. His wings can serve as sort of fins if he needs an extra boost, but usually they stay tight to his body when he swims. Being a creature formed purely of magic, like all daemons (quite physical beings still, blood and lungs and everything else), along with his water association, means that he can breathe water and his lungs are able to draw the oxygen from it. He doesn't have scales; his skin is smooth so there's less friction when he swims. He has many other abilities, which will be revealed later on.

Like all daemons, Kam has three forms: his main form, shown here, is very small and he often rides on Lil's shoulder. His second form, known as Guardian class, is a couple feet taller than Lilith; he stands on his hind legs and his body alters to be more suited for combat, namely the defense of his human if she needs it. His third form, or True class, stands quite a bit taller than Lil, and he reverts back to being a quadruped. In this form, Lilith can ride on his back.

If a person dies, their daemon simply disappears. If a daemon is killed, the person becomes a "Severed", the equivalent of a zombie in Lil's world. They're essentially an empty, mindless shell, craving the energy and life daemons give. Their danger comes from the fact that they devour any daemon they can get their hands on, creating more Severed.

Daemons share many attributes with their humans, personality wise and in terms of their emotions and physical effects. For example, if Lilith has six drinks, it would be the same as Kam having six drinks; however, considering the much smaller body mass, he'd get pretty messed up a lot faster. Furthermore, if one or the other suffers a physical wound, the other will physically feel the pain as if they'd gotten the injury themselves.

Well, that's all the info you get for now. More to be released later, and to find out everything, watch for the comic release this summer.

Oh wow what a cutie! I like his colors and I really love his wings! They're unconventional and fit in with his tail by looking more like flippers than wings and ahhhh. He's just really good!

The colors in this work well with each other.

Don't be afraid to play around with the brushes in SAI some to get a feel for smoother blending, but I still think this is a nice job.
